In September my annual Berlin visit is due. Since I lived there for 3 months in 2009, at least once a year I need to go back to feel the vibe of this inspiring city. I will visit a friend and besides hearing what is going on in her life, I can’t wait to see what new bars and restaurants she discovered since my last visit. For sure the following tour through Mitte/Prenzlauer Berg I will have to do to visit my all time favourites:

– visit the Saturday morning market at the Kollwitzplatz
– get a haircut at Schnittweise
– have a coffee at zu mir oder zu dir
– have a burrito at dolores
– buy shoes at Shusta
– breakfast at Anna Blume and if too crowded across the street at Sowohl als auch
– buy useful or useless stuff at Schönhauser Berlin
– have a beer at Wohnzimmer
– dinner at Frau Mittenmang
– have a drink at the Lining Bar and later pop across the road and hit the dancefloor at the Tacheles
– burger & life gig at White Trash
– on Sunday visit the flea market at the Mauerpark
– sit in the grass on the Museumsinsel and have a bottle of wine
– have sushi at Kuchi
– have a farewell drink at Scotch and Sofa close to Senefelderplatz a as I used to live right across the street

As you can see, 3 days will not be enough and I will spend most of my time eating and drinking! But I also need to discover at least one place in Berlin that I haven’t been to before. This year the choice will be the Viktoriapark in Kreuzberg. Come back mid September to read about the latest discoveries.
